Wedding Services Total KRW 21.6 Million, Trending Up Over the Past Three Months

The Korea Consumer Agency (President: Yoon Soo-hyun) surveyed 504 wedding service providers across 14 regions nationwide and found that the average total cost of wedding services in August was KRW 21.6 million, showing an upward trend over the past three months. Among the different components making up the cost of a wedding, the median catering cost, which typically accounts for the largest share, exceeded 60,000 KRW per head, and in particular, the cost of hiring a venue rose sharply by 16.7% compared to June.
