Prohibited Substances Detected in 8 out of 42 Air Purifier Filters With air purifiers becoming an essential household appliance, a growing number of compatible filters* are being distributed alongside original manufacturer filters. Accordingly, the Korea Consumer Agency (KCA), the Ministry of Environment (MOE), and the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute investigated the safety of 42 air purifier filters in the market. The results revealed that eight compatible filters contained prohibited substances. |
