KCA, KFTC and Secondhand Trading Platforms Gather Together to Share Dispute Settlement Expertise

- Revised the secondhand trading dispute mediation standards: expanded to include “clothing” and “large home appliances” -

The Korea Consumer Agency (KCA, President Yoon Soo-hyun) held a information-sharing conference on dispute mediation with the Korea Fair Trade Commission (KFTC, Chairperson Han Ki-jeong) and four secondhand trading platforms* on December 11, 2024.

KCA, FTC, and the four platforms have been continuously cooperating following the “Pledge on Product Safety and Dispute Settlement for Secondhand Trading Platforms*” signed in June last year. As part of this agreement, the “Secondhand Transaction Dispute Settlement Standards” were established and applied to the four platforms. Following last year, the second performance-sharing conference was held to share the progress of implementation and discuss future operational directions.
