Average Coffee Shop Prices Exceed Consumer Expectations by up to 32.4%

Despite recent economic downturns, the coffee shop industry continues to show steady growth. However, recent price increases at some shops have led to rising consumer burdens.

Accordingly, the Korea Consumer Agency (President Yoon Soo Hyun) conducted a survey on the menu prices of 25 coffee shops, finding that the prices of coffee and beverages were up to 32.4% (1,153 KRW) higher than what consumers deemed reasonable.
