16.9% Increase Year-on-Year in Consumer Consultations Regarding Crossborder Transactions -Airline-related consultations are most frequent, followed by Shoes and Clothing, and Accommodation- As the purchase of goods and services from overseas through online platforms increases in popularity and demand for overseas travel recovers, the number of consumer consultations regarding crossborder transactions* increased last year. As a result of analysis by the Korea Consumer Agency (President: Yoon Soo-hyun) of consumer consultation trends for crossborder transactions, it was noted that a total of 19,418 cases were dealt with in 2023, a 16.9% increase on the previous year (16,608 cases). |
