Increase in Domestic Distribution of Products Recalled Overseas

-Results of monitoring of domestic distribution of products recalled overseas in 2023-

As the number of online overseas transactions continues to increase annually, consumers are being warned to watch out for ongoing cases whereby products that have been recalled overseas due to safety issues are still being distributed or sold domestically.

Accordingly, throughout 2023, the Korea Consumer Agency (KCA, President Yoon Soo Hyun) monitored the distribution in Korea of products recalled overseas, including in Europe and the United States, and issued corrective measures such as blocking their distribution or re-distribution in a total of 986 cases.
