44.4% of Uncertified Household Chemical Products for Vehicles Sold By Overseas Purchasing Agencies Do Not Meet the Safety Standards -Consumers are advised to check the safety standards confirmation mark when purchasing products through overseas purchasing agencies- As “do-it-yourself car maintenance” becomes increasingly popular, the number of consumers purchasing household chemical products for vehicles through overseas purchasing agents is also increasing. However, caution is required as products that do not meet the domestic safety standards are being sold online. Accordingly, the Korea Consumer Agency and the Korea Environmental Industry and Technology Institute have conducted a joint safety investigation of ninety household chemical products for vehicles that were distributed through overseas purchase agencies but which were not confirmed to meet the safety standards. |
