Neodymium Magnetic Balls Ingestion Incidents Warning for Young Children

Due to a High Risk of Injuries Including Intestinal Perforation if Ingested, Special Attention of Parents Is Required -

As video clips showing plays using magnetic balls spread online, child ingestion incidents have been steadily reported in Korea. Child magnetic balls ingestion incidents frequently occurred abroad as well. For example, the regulatory authorities in Japan and the U.S. have announced the safety warnings on magnetic balls several times (six times counted since 2021). Against this backdrop, Korea
Consumer Agency issued the consumer safety advisory on neodymium magnetic balls* posing a greater risk due to powerful magnetic force compared with other types of magnets.
