Korea Consumer Agency and the European Union Seek to Boost Cooperation in Protecting Consumers
On April 12 (Wednesday), President Jang Duck-jin of the Korea Consumer Agency (hereinafter referred to as KCA) presided over a meeting with a delegation from the European Commission Directorate-General for Justice & Consumers (hereafter referred to as EC DG JUST) that is headed by Commissioner Didier Reynders and other officials from the EU. At the meeting, they discussed means for protecting consumers during the digital and green transition, attributed to changes in the consumer environment. The EC DG JUST is an organization belonging to the European Commission that functions as the administration unit, and is tasked with promoting consumer rights which include consumer protection, product safety, and the development and implementation of policies on laws related to consumer protection. |
