Consumers Are Recommended To Check Different Functions and Features Before Purchasing a TV

Consumers are showing heightened interest in televisions as it has become easier to access to various video content through OTT* and VOD services.

* OTT(Over The Top) : An online streaming service that directly offer media content to users

Accordingly, Korea Consumer Agency tested six major television brands and confirmed that these products show satisfactory performance with respect to standard resolution videos(SDR*), viewing angle and response time(MPRT), while each product had noticeable differences in terms of high resolution videos(HDR*) and sound quality.

*SDR(Standard Dynamic Range) video : a generally viewed video whose range of brightness is not expanded

**HDR(High Dynamic Range) video : a high-resolution video whose range of brightness is expanded by accentuating light and dark areas
