Overseas Online Shopping Mall Apps: Lack of Information for Local Consumers

The vulnerability of providing information and accessibility on customs, payment, and refund -


Many consumers are using mobile apps of overseas online shopping malls operators to make overseas direct purchases.In response to this, the Korea Consumer Agency(President Jang Duck-Jin, KCA) has conducted the survey on the status of supply/provision of adequate information.

The mobile app usage ratio of overseas direct purchase: 44.7% (‘Survey on consumer overseas transaction and consumer damage/ harm’, 2020, KCA)
