Korea Consumer Agency signs MOU with National Consumer Protection Agency of the Republic of Indonesia - Expending foundations to support resolving increasing consumer complaints in cross-border transactions - The Korea Consumer Agency (President Jang Duck-jin, KCA) and the National Consumer Protection Agency of the Republic of Indonesia had an online signing ceremony for the memorandum of understanding for the resolution of consumer complaint in cross-border transactions on Thursday, August 26 with the aim to ensure effective response to increasing consumer disputes related to cross-border transactions. * Consumer inquiries on cross-border transactions received in 2020 were 26,954 cases, an increase of 11.4% compared to the 2019 (24,194 cases). ** National Consumer Protection Agency of Indonesia: An independent advisory organization of government, consulting consumer protection law and policy, investigating on product and service relevant to consumer safety, handling consumer complaints, etc. |
