Training on Non-face-to-face Transactions (e-Commerce, Kiosk, etc.) required for Elderly Consumers


While non-face-to-face transactions are widely spreading throughout the society due to the recent COVID-19 crisis, it was found that elderly consumers not accustomed to e-Commerce and kiosks are undergoing difficulties in signing up, logging in, understanding terms, controlling devices and others during their first non-face-to-face transactions.

 Hardest tasks for elderly consumers; signing up and logging in on e-Commerce platforms

  • - (Respondent) 300 elderly consumers (65 and older) residing in Seoul and have experience in non-face-to-face transactions for the past recent year

- (Sampling error) 95% confidence level, error range ± 5.7%p
