The KCA and the Ministry of Environment signed an MOU to support sustainable consumption culture of Korea

    The Korea Consumer Agency(President, Lee Hee-sook) signed an MOU with the Ministry of Environment (Minister Kim Eun-kyung) at the Seoul office of the Ministry on September 4th in order to expand the eco-friendly consumption culture.

     This agreement was designed to create a responsible consumption culture for future generations through "Daily life practices" such as reducing disposable supplies. Through the agreement, the 2 parties have decided to cooperate in various fields including content development, consumer education and campaign for eco-frienddly consumption.

    As a part of this move, the KCA have hold a contest for UCC and Card News to "reduce the use of disposable products in daily life". In addition, field campaigns were run to reduce single-use products to consumers and businesses in five regions nationwide, including Seoul, Busan, Gwangju, Daegu, and Incheon.
