Customized consumer information provided to multi-cultural households
The Korea Consumer Resources Agency (President, Lee Hee-sook) along with the Korea Health and Family Development Agency (Chairman, Kim Hye-young) have translated and distributed "Consumer Damage Precautions* into 12 languages** to effectively prevent the consumer damage of multicultural families. * The KCA issue about 35 damages warnings for new types of products and services repeatedly causing consumer damages every year **English, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Filipino (Tagalog) languages, Russian, Thai, Uzbek, Nepal, Laos, Cambodian (Chmer) and Mongolian
This information is provided with illustrated images in 6 pages to help multicultural consumers understand how to deal with consumer issues related to ▲airplane ticket and luggage damage/ loss ▲delivery service ▲ e-commerce ▲ discount coupons
The information also can be found on an integrated consumer portal(www.consumer.go.kr) and multicultural family support portal(www.liveinkorea.kr). Also, copies will be distributed to local governments nationalwide and 9 regional offices of the KCA by the end of this year.
