“Simple but Meaningful Weddings”

 

The Korea Consumer Agency(President Han, Kyeon-pyo) is opening an exhibition for simple weddings for desirable wedding culture.

 

With extravagant wedding expenses leading to rising social problems including growing social costs and disharmony between classes these days, the KCA has been conducting a campaign for spreading the culture of simple weddings this year. The exhibition will be held as a part of the campaign.

*Simple but meaningful weddingsis one that cuts unnecessary things such as marriage expenses, wedding gifts, engagement ceremony so that wedding costs can be dramatically reduced.

Those who are interested in the exhibition should draw up the advantages and disadvantages of simple weddings and how you feel about that.

 

The exhibition runs from May 1 to May 24. You can download the application form through the KCA homepage(www.kca.go.kr).

 

16 work will be selected and given awards(1 first price, two grand prizes, three excellence awards, 10 participation awards). The prize winners will receive 1 million won along with a certificate of ward in the name of the KCA’s president. The prize-winning work will be advertised through various portal sites, related organization homepage to spread the desirable wedding culture.

 

The KCA said that “this exhibition would pave the wave for desirable wedding culture as well as civil society for decent consumers.”
