KCA, wins President Award

of“2016 safety culture


- make a huge contribution to safer Korea through spreading the wave of safety culture -




 President of Korea Consumer Agency, Han Kyeon-Pyo, received president award of “2016 safety culture on the public and nonprofit division(PNP) on 9th at the Kim Koo Museum & Library.



 Ministry of Public Safety and Security(MPSS) holds public contest and presents safety culture award, identifies organizations and businesses as exemplary cases on safety eduction, safety promotion, campaigns and safety improvement to spread safety culture to the public.



 KCA participated the contest with the theme of “making a safer place of Korea with the wave of safety culture’ and ranked at the top among 54 public and nonprofit organizations for its leading role in contributing to the implementation of programs for safety culture.



 KCA has laid the foundation of safety culture for children through making and distributing animation film, “Go! Fire Robo”, on safety education for children and eliminated all hazardous risks to public safety through consumer safety alert promptly.



 KCA has strengthened consumer safety surveillance network by operating consumer safety monitor and holding public contests on safety programs to improve safety vulnerable areas with the public. It also strengthens consumer injury surveillance system(CISS) to diversify information channels on injury information



 President of Korea consumer agency said that he would commit to making KCA the primary consumer protection organization by eliminating safety blind spots with its founding principle to protect and secure a safe consumption life.
