Requested Corrective Action to KATS on IKEA’s Products including MALM
KCA (www.kca.go.kr) confirmed the fact that on June 28th, the dangers of dressers topple over have prompted Ikea to voluntarily recall dressers including the Malm dresser only in the U.S. and Canada.
In Korea, although there was no one injured or died because of the product in question, there are possible dangers that the similar accident can take place. That is why KCA requested corrective action to Ikea Korea about Malm on June 29th.
However, on July 6th, Ikea responded that refund is available only upon a consumer request. Judging that Ikea Korea’s response was not enough, KCA filed a report to KATS for Ikea’s corrective action and KCA plans to conduct joint respond with KATS. |
