Korea Consumer Agency "Designated as an Excellent Government Agency of Governmet3.0”

- The Ministry of Interior, announced Government3.0 performance evaluation result

 

    Korea Consumer Agency (www.kca.go.kr) was designated as an excellent government agency among 116 government agencies in terms of performance evaluation on Government 3.0.

 

    「Government3.0 public agencies evaluation team, run by the Ministry of Interior, evaluated the results of how successfully Government 3.0 is carried out based on various aspects including ‘cooperation among different agencies’, ‘assessment on providing citizens-customized services’, ‘openness·usage of public data performance’ and other indicators.

 

    In particular, the case of cooperated effort with Korea Consumer Agency’s ‘market monitoring on dangerous manufactured goods’ and Korean agency for technology and standard of the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy’s ‘Oversight and administrative measures’ that immediately recalled 63 dangerous manufactured goods being distributed in the market has designated as an ‘excellent case of cooperated administrative case between agencies’.

 

    Also, Korea Consumer Agency helped boosting competitiveness of small-and-mid-sized enterprises’ (SMEs) by analyzing consumer complaints data and providing them with customized information to SMEs companies who lack access to information. In addition, KCA was recognized by other efforts that help consumers to save money through smart consumption that ease household’s financial burden by running‘True Price’portal, a comprehensive websites providing reliable price information, that discloses prices of necessity goods and by developing and distributing ‘True Price App’ to help consumers find stores that sells goods at the lowest price in their region.

 

    KCA made it clear that KCA will put more efforts to realize the Government3.0 core value of ‘openness·sharing·communication ·cooperation’ by saying “KCA will take the lead in fulfilling the happiness of citizens by continuously finding·launching Government3.0 programs that can actually help people”.
