Korea Consumer Agency hold 'Partnership Program on Strengthening Consumer Affairs Activity and Specialist(Vietnam)'

   Korea Consumer Agency hosted the VCA-KCA joint working group meeting with six delegates, including the vice president of Vietnam Competition Authority and public officials from November 2 to 7. 

    This workshop is about the vitalization of Vietnam's consumer policy that the KCA have started supporting since 2013 in cooperation with The Korea International Cooperation Agency(KOICA).

    During the workshop, the both parties shared trends in consumer laws, consumer safety issues, etc. and discussed on how to cooperate with each other. Furthermore, they visited enterprises, consumer organizations, etc. with which signed MOU on May, 2014, and had an opportunity to understand in depth about various activities of consumer protection.

     The president of the KCA, Dae-pyo Jung emphasized that this can be a great chance for the both to actively cooperate in the field of consumer task during the opening ceremony.

    In order to enhance country's stature, the KCA focused on supporting developing countries, such as Vietnam, Uzbekistan, Paraguay, etc. to share advanced consumer policy and system of Korea.
