Korea Consumer Agency hosted ‘Fellowship Program of Partnership Program on Strengthening Consumer Affairs Activity and Specialist (Vietnam)’

- Shared know-how related to consumer protection with delegates of Vietnam in charge of consumer affairs -

 

  Korea Consumer Agency held the 'Fellowship Program of Partnership Program on Strengthening Consumer Affairs Activity and Specialist[Vietnam]' for 20 delegates in charge of consumer affairs in Vietnam.

 

 

   The purpose of this program which started from September 21 to 30 is to enhance competence of workers in the field of consumer affairs through sharing advanced consumer tasks of Korea, and Vietnam Competition Authority, Ministry of Trade, Industry & Energy, Korean Standards Association, etc. participated in this event.

 

   This program consisted of lectures and discussion regarding six topics such as consumer protection system in Korea, consumer dispute resolution system, etc., and current conditions of consumer systems of institutions, workshop of discussing on resolution, etc.

 

   Participants of this program had a chance to understand Korean culture and industry through visiting industrial fields, such as Hundai motor, etc. and Hanok village.

 

   The vice president of the KCA, Eun-kyu Im stated that this program would be an opportunity to share experience of resolving consumer problems in the both countries and actively discuss on developing consumer tasks in the orientation on September 22.

 

 

   The KCA started supporting the vitalization of Vietnam's consumer policy since 2013 in cooperation with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).
