KCA held a meeting with the US Consumer Product Safety Commission on Nov. 2nd in Seoul | |||||

The Korea Consumer Agency (President: Young-seen Kim, www.kca.go.kr) invited the Chairman Inez M. Tenenbaum (of ministerial level) and the delegates from the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (http://www.cpsc.gov/) on Wednesday Nov. 2nd and had a meeting to discuss ways to strengthen consumer product safety between the both nations. The KCA and the US CPSC signed an MOU back in Jan., 2006 and promoted cooperation in various ways such as conducting a joint research to prevent safety accidents caused by defective products or consumers’ carelessness. During the Meeting on Nov. 2nd, various topics were being discussed to strengthen consumer product safety further including major policy developments for product safety, ways for developing an injury information gathering system, methods for enhancing safety of button battery, and human resource exchange for product safety technicians. ![]() |
