KCA participated in the fifth Low Carbon Green Growth Expo and its related events, held from 6th to 8th of October, 2010, in Samsung COEX A&C HALL. KCA, having participated in the event as a green consumption agency attached to presidential green growth committee's green life council, had chosen 'settlement and proliferation of green consumption' as one of its three strategic projects for 2010. The agency has been promoting research for green consumption policies, and also tried to make green consumption a way of life through providing comparative information of green products and experience of green life.

Young-Seen Kin, president of KCA, gave a congratulatory speech at the "Green Consumption Forum Conference", the opening ceremony of the Expo, and Soon-Young Bae, researcher at policy laboratory, made a report on 'ways to promote green consumption incentives to consumers', calling for the spreading of consumer-centered green consumption culture.

The slogan of green life booth was "KCA, Promoting Green Growth through Consumer Choice", and consisted of three major sectors. They were (i)finding proper ways to distinguish signs of organic products, (ii) offering comparative test results and usage demonstration of energy saving products and organic products, and (iii)distribution of pamphlets and related information on green consumption education.

Especially, in regard to green-family making actions, KCA newly opened a green-family model home page(www.kca.go.kr/greenfamily), leading consumers to set their own action plans to become green-families, and small gifts were provided to participants.
