Each year in February or March, members of the International Consumer Protection and Enforcement Network (ICPEN) join forces for the campaign of ‘International Fraud Prevention Month’. In Korea, the Korea Consumer Agency (KCA), in cooperation with the Fair Trade Commission (FTC), launches the campaign to protect consumer damages from fraud and deception beforehand, raise public awareness about the growing number of diversified activities of fraud, and educate the public on how to recognize and cope with them.
▣ Period: March 15 ~ April 14, 2010 ▣ Contents 1. Inform consumers online about diversified fraudulent and deceptive scams and how to recognize and deal with them 2. Hold events participated by the public: Consumer who scrapped major damage cases post on a website(blog.kca.go.kr) will be given a text message gift with a free coffee voucher through a lucky draw 3.
