The MOU agreement has been concluded between the Korea Consumer Agency (President: Myung-Hee Park) and the Small and Medium Business Administration (Administrator: Suk-Woo Hong).  The purposes of the MOU agreement are to create the co-existing culture for the small & medium businesses and the consumers as well as to encourage a paradigm shift in consumer sovereignty and business development. 

Thanks to the MOU agreement, the mutual cooperation between two organizations will bring an effective impact on the paradigm shift in carrying out practical business, consumer rights realization, and small & medium business development.   

The Korea Consumer Agency and the Korea Insurance Development Institute (Chairman: Chae-Woong Jeong) conducted the insurance consumer leader training program for the consumer organizations’ staffs and consumer education training related personnel.  The training program has been held from August 28~29, 2008 at the Korea Automobile Insurance Repair Research & Training Center.  30 people attended the training program nationwide.   

Training programs consisted of various insurance related information including basic insurance theory to handle consumer damages, relevant insurance regulations, consumer character finding techniques for effective consumer counseling, and car crash test for driving safety.  

The training is expected to make the consumers understand insurance better than before and to open a new horizon for insurance consumer protection.
