○ These days, consumer’s concerns are growing because food related accidents occur due to foreign substances found in foods. Thereby everyone of the Korean society feels that food safety should be guaranteed.

○ The Korea Consumer Agency organized ｢The Forum regarding the food-related accidents and the preventive measures against foreign substances in foods｣ on April 24, 2008. During the forum, the participants discussed the preventive measures and improved manufacturing and distribution processes to reduce food related incidents.

○ Celebrating the first annual anniversary of the collective ADR commencement, the KCA has prepared the seminar to discuss systemic improvement and issues of the collective ADR.

○ The KCA staff who are in charge of the Collective ADR, lawyers, director of the Federation of Korean Industries, and related persons of the Korea Fair Trade Commission presented and discussed the matter.
