○ In celebrating the 12th Annual Consumers’ day which is held during Consumer Week, various events have been featured on December 3, 2007.  The purpose of the events was to find a way to enhance the consumer’s awareness and the consumer policy by looking at the current consumer’s life.

 ○ Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance &Economy, Kwon has expressed his expectation that our consumer protection system will be developed to the level of advanced countries through the Collective Alternative Dispute Resolution system and Association Lawsuit. (i.e. :the judicial system through which an association that meets certain criteria can file a lawsuit and request suspension or prohibition of unlawful acts of business operators)

○ Myung-Hee Park, President of the KCA has stressed not only the governmental role but also the role of the autonomous consumers who are responsible for their decision with reasonable selection ability. 

○ Meanwhile, on December 6, 2007, the panel discussion has been conducted on the issue &future outlook of the Collective Alternative Dispute Resolution.  Also, the seminar has been held regarding ‘The consumer’s life and issues of the globalization era’.  Besides, various awarding ceremonies were held such as ‘best consumer education contents’ and ‘real case experience on the consumer’s rights’ etc...
