Negligible Difference in Sugar and Calories Between Zero Sugar Soju and Regular Soju -Risk of the “0.0” mark on non-alcoholic beer being misunderstood as indicating it contains zero alcohol- As consumer interest in health heats up, the so-called “zero food” market, which emphasizes “zero sugar” and “zero calorie” labels, is growing rapidly. Accordingly, as a result of a survey conducted by the Korea Consumer Agency (President Yoon Soo-Hyun) on the amount of sugar and calories contained in “zero food”, it was found that there was no significant difference in the level of calories and sugar in zero sugar soju compared to regular soju. Additionally, it was found that using the “0.0” mark on non-alcoholic beer was likely to lead to consumer misunderstanding. |
