The KCA, Cross-Border Consumer Complaints Handling
○ The Korea Consumer Agency is carrying out the role of consumer remedy based on the Framework Act on Consumer (Article 35). For the consumer remedy, the KCA is working for not only Koreans but also the consumers who make the cross border complaints (including the disputes between residents in Korea and foreign companies)
○ In the wake of globalization and market liberalization due to FTA, the Consumer Redress Bureau of the KCA is dealing with the Cross Border Consumer Complaints. Thus, the foreign residents in Korea are encouraged to contact 02-3460-3126 or the internet (http://www.kca.go.kr) for the help.
○ Besides, based on the Framework Act on Consumer (Article 16), the KCA has prepared the consumer dispute standards for case settlement. For more details regarding this matter, please refer to the home page (http://www.kca.go.kr/jsp/eng/coun_02.jsp)
