Jang Duck-jin named new president of the Korea Consumer Agency - Specialist with expertise and experience expected to contribute to enhancing consumer rights and interests and securing consumer sovereignty - KCA Vice President Jang Duck-jin was appointed as the 16th president of the Korea Consumer Agency on July 19, 2021.
President Jang studied economics at Seoul National University and earned a master's degree from Seoul National University and the California State University Graduate School. He started his public service after passing the 31st Civil Service Exam and served as the Head of the Seoul Office of the Korea Fair Trade Commission, Director General for Planning & Coordination, Director of the Consumer Policy Bureau, and Commissioner of the KFTC. He had been the Vice President of the Korea Consumer Agency since March 2019.
Based on his expertise and experience he had accumulated at the Korea Fair Trade Commission and the Korea Consumer Agency, President Jang is expected to contribute to establishing, sharing and fulfilling the KCA’s vision for enhancing consumer rights and securing consumer sovereignty.
